1. Information We Collect
We collect your name, email address, phone number, and transaction references when you register and enroll in our courses. We also gather system logs and website analytics to optimize dashboard performance.
When you join a free course we also ask what describes you (for example professional, freelancer or student), your field, city and country, how often you use AI tools, your goals for the course, how much time you can give, how you heard about us, and, if you choose, your WhatsApp number. If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, we also note the campaign link or website that brought you to us. We always keep the date and wording of each choice you make on the form.
When you reserve a seat on the free AI course waitlist we keep your name, email address, WhatsApp number, and, if you give them, your city and what describes you, with the date you registered, which decides whether the course is free for you. If you allow analytics, we also note the campaign link that brought you to us.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your information is used solely to manage course enrollments, verify manual transactions, issue credentials, and deliver transactional notifications/emails. We do not sell or lease your data.
Free-course answers help us shape the course, see which lessons work, and send you course emails such as lesson reminders and your certificate. We message you on WhatsApp only if you ticked that box, and tell you about other Web3 Geeks programmes only if you asked us to.
Waitlist details are used only for that course: to tell you by email and WhatsApp when the lessons open, and to invite you to make your account.
When you apply, pay, reserve a seat or open a support ticket, our team gets a short alert by email or on Telegram. A Telegram alert shows only your name and what it's about, never your email address, phone number or CV.
We keep a short record of each email we send you (your address, which email it was, whether it was delivered, delayed or bounced, whether you marked it as spam, and when you first opened it) for 6 months, and a copy of the email itself, with its private links removed, for 30 days, so we can check that important emails reached you. Our emails carry a tiny image that tells us when they are opened; if your mail app blocks images, we don't see it.
3. Data Retention & Protection
All customer profiles and enrollment logs are securely stored in Supabase with RLS protections enabled. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active to provide course access and credential verification.
5. Bootcamp Applications
When you apply for the bootcamp we also collect your date of birth, city, education, Python level, your goal, and your CV or LinkedIn profile link. Your CV is kept in private storage that only our team can open. An AI tool (Claude, made by Anthropic) reads your CV and writes a short summary for our admissions team; besides the CV it sees only your answers about education, Python and your goal, not your email address, WhatsApp number or date of birth. A person reads every application and makes every decision. If your application is declined or you withdraw, we delete your personal data, including your date of birth and CV, 12 months after your last activity.
6. Your Choices
You can ask us at any time, through Support in your dashboard, to stop course reminders, WhatsApp updates or programme news, or to delete your account and the answers you gave us.
